As China–U.S. trade relations continue to warm, both countries have taken concrete steps to deepen cooperation in cross-border logistics and supply chain connectivity. This month, China and the U.S. jointly announced a streamlined clearance process for low-value shipments and the pilot launch of a “Digital Certificate of Origin” system, significantly improving customs efficiency for cross-border freight.
Recent data shows that in Q1 2025, U.S. ports recorded over 12% year-on-year growth in container volumes from China, with ocean freight accounting for over 60% of shipments. Meanwhile, demand for air freight remains strong, particularly in high-value categories such as consumer electronics and medical devices. These trends are driving the logistics industry to shift from “price competition” to “speed, reliability, and service excellence.”
As a freight forwarder specializing in China–U.S. logistics for over a decade, Passionship is actively upgrading its air and ocean freight solutions. On the air freight side, we are strengthening partnerships with carriers across key U.S. West and Central gateways to ensure space during peak seasons. For ocean freight, we are expanding both FCL and LCL offerings with faster clearance and responsive warehouse coordination.
“The industry is transitioning from price-based competition to service-driven, tech-enabled logistics,” said the Passionship operations team. “We are committed to enhancing visibility, controllability, and end-to-end performance to provide reliable, efficient logistics support for Chinese exporters expanding into the U.S. market.”
