April 2025 – Global logistics leader DHL Group and fast-growing e-commerce platform Temu have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand their strategic collaboration, deepening their joint efforts to innovate logistics and e-commerce solutions. The partnership will focus on advancing Temu’s "local-to-local" business model in Europe, enabling regional merchants—especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—to directly access consumers while streamlining cross-border fulfillment. This initiative is projected to account for 80% of Temu’s European sales.

Additionally, DHL will support Temu’s expansion across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), leveraging its global supply chain expertise to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. Concurrently, Temu will empower European sellers to explore international markets through compliance-driven and eco-friendly trade practices.

“This collaboration combines DHL’s unrivaled logistics network with Temu’s cutting-edge platform to create seamless, reliable experiences for businesses and consumers alike,” said Katja Busch, DHL’s Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Customer Solutions & Innovation. “By prioritizing localization and sustainability, we’re not just meeting market demands—we’re redefining them.”

Sun Qin, Co-founder of Temu, emphasized the synergistic value of the partnership: “DHL’s deep regional insights and operational excellence are critical to our mission of connecting global shoppers with affordable, high-quality products. Together, we’re unlocking new opportunities for sellers while setting new standards for cross-border trade.”

The agreement underscores DHL’s commitment to fostering e-commerce innovation and Temu’s rapid rise as a disruptor in global retail. As they explore integrated logistics-commerce models, the alliance aims to elevate customer experiences, drive inclusive growth, and shape the future of international trade.
