Important Notes:

·Shipping Takes Longer (Compared to FCL): Your goods must wait at the start port warehouse (CFS) until enough other goods arrive to fill a container. This takes time.At the end port, the whole container must be unpacked and all the different shipments sorted before you can get your goods. This also takes time. Because of this, LCL is usually slower than FCL. Add extra time (often 1-2 weeks or more) to your plan compared to FCL schedules.

·Higher Risk of Damage or Loss:More Handling: Your goods are moved many times: into the CFS warehouse, onto the packing floor, into the shared container, out of the container at the end, and sorted in the warehouse. More moves mean more chance of bumps, drops, or getting lost.

·Sharing Space: Your goods are packed tightly with goods from other people. Goods that are wet, dirty, sharp, or not packed well by others can damage your goods. Strong smells can also transfer.

· Packaging Requirements: Make sure your goods are properly packed and secured to prevent damage during transport. This is especially important in LCL shipping where multiple customers' cargo is in the same container.

·Choose a Good Freight Forwarder:LCL is more complex than FCL. Use a freight forwarder with lots of experience in LCL. They know how to handle the packing, paperwork, and problems that can happen.
