Ocean Freight Stabilizes, Air Demand Grows Strongly

Release time:

2025-05-13

According to the latest industry data on May 13, 2025, China-US dedicated logistics operations remain stable. Ocean freight rates have slightly increased compared to April, because of recovering trade orders and reduced port congestion. The Shanghai to Los Angeles 40HQ container price now stays at USD 2,100-2,300 per container, up about 5% from the previous month. Port operations have also improved, helping to reduce overall shipping times.

For air freight, demand has surged due to urgent restocking needs for electronics, clothing, and other goods. Cargo space from major Chinese airports to US hubs (e.g., LAX, JFK) remains tight, keeping prices high. Customers requiring fast delivery now prefer air freight. Current China to US West Coast air rates are USD 6.5-7.2 per kilogram.

We advise customers to choose transport methods based on their goods’ needs and delivery time. To meet market trends, we have optimized shipping routes and customs solutions. New and existing clients are welcome to contact us for booking. Enjoy professional, secure, and efficient cross-border logistics services.
